Importance of Ramadan for women

The month of Ramadan is a time of worship, and it is important not only for men, but also for women. However, women have to face natural processes like periods every month. In this situation, the question often arises whether they should fast on these days. Keeping in mind the health of women, Islam has exempted women from fasting and namaz during periods. This is not a punishment, but a relief from Allah, so that their bodies are not overburdened.

following Islamic rules

According to Islamic Shariat, it is not mandatory for women to fast during periods. The fasts that are missed during this period can be completed any time after Ramadan. As soon as the periods end, women should take Ghusl (sacred bath) and resume their prayers and fasting. If periods start during fasting, one should leave the fast at that time and make up for it later.

take care of health

From a medical perspective, many hormonal changes occur in women’s bodies during periods, which can cause pain, fatigue, and weakness. In such a situation, remaining hungry the whole day can be harmful for health. Human well-being and health have been given priority in Islam, so Muslim women readily follow this natural law.

continuity of worship

Although Namaz and Roza cannot be performed during periods, it does not mean that women cannot pray. They can remember Allah, pray, read religious books and help the needy. Through these noble deeds, they can continue to partake of the blessings and rewards of Ramadan even during their periods.
