Tesco has confirmed a major change that will mark a 30-year first. The retailer, which boasts the title as the UK's biggest supermarket, has revamped its iconic slogan.


For years, the slogan "Every Little Helps" has been synonymous with the Tesco brand. However, the supermarket is now set to launch a campaign to breathe life into its brand, including a new slogan. It says the new campaign will highlight its ongoing support for customers by asking the question: "Need Anything From Tesco?"


As reported by Birmingham Live, Tesco's UK chief executive, Ashwin Prasad, explained: "At Tesco, 'Every Little Helps' has always been rooted in the real actions our colleagues take every day to support customers, whether that's going the extra mile in store to support a customer who needs it or supporting hundreds of schools to access free fruit and veg for their pupils.


"The new 'Need anything from Tesco?' platform is intended to build on that as we continually work towards new, thoughtful ways to do more for our customers and local communities whilst still providing great quality food at the right price. I am excited to see where the campaign takes us as we start to actively ask the question: Need anything from Tesco?"


Meanwhile, Tesco's managing director, Becky Brock, said the move was taken against a backdrop of "an economic environment that's not getting easier for customers". She added that the supermarket remains committed to taking its brand to the "next level".

She explained: "It [Food Love Stories] was no longer galvanising that business change about an utter passion for food. We wanted to really focus on the food itself."


According to Ms Brock, Tesco's goal is to "become just as relevant in the future and really keep putting the customer at the heart". She claimed the Clubcard was one of the brand's "most precious assets".


She has also vowed to improve the brand's digitial presence. This includes making Tesco's "marketing become more digitally integrated".
