In Balakot, a town in Mansehra district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a social media content creator, Mohammad Javed, was shot dead by a police officer.

According to SP Sabir Khan, the incident occurred when the police officer allegedly discharged his pistol accidentally, and Mohammad Javed, known for making comedy videos on TikTok, died on the spot.

Following the incident, angry locals vandalized the Balakot police station and set a police vehicle on fire. A video of the alleged shooting also went viral, showing the constable pointing the pistol at Javed’s abdomen.

The police immediately registered a case, arrested the officer, and launched an investigation. The suspect was presented before a session court and placed on a two-day police remand.

Later, Mohammad Javed was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard, attended by his family, local residents, and Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Mohammad Yousuf.
