These bugs could have allowed cyber attackers to target users and take control of their systems. These critical bugs were most impactful for users whose devices are equipped with Qualcomm chips, covering most smartphones and tablets worldwide. These users are advised to install the latest update immediately.

How to install updates?

Go to your Android device's Settings and open the About Phone section. Then, tap on the Android version and select Security Update. You'll see an update with patch level 2026-03-05. If this update is available, install it immediately. If you don't see this update, Google has issued an advisory for users who haven't received it yet. They're advised not to download apps from third-party stores, to be cautious when opening attachments on websites and in emails, and to keep Google Play Protect enabled.
