George Russell is an unsuspecting favourite for the Formula 1 world championship entering Sunday's season-opener. However, the Mercedes marvel is already living the high life off the track despite never finishing above fourth in the overall drivers' standings.

Since debuting for Williams in 2019, the Briton has steadily plotted his course to become one of the most consistent drivers in the field. And his patience could finally pay off in 2026 after a promising pre-season has put Mercedes' No. 1 as frontrunner to clinch the crown. Like many other drivers, Russell currently resides in Monaco and has come to enjoy many of the luxuries that come with being an F1 mainstay. That includes his own four-bedroom yacht and a car collection valuable enough to make most motorheads green with envy.

Huge yacht purchase

It was just last year that Russell completed arguably his most lavish purchase to date after investing £2.2million in a Pershing 6X yacht. The vessel is 62 feet long and comes equipped with four bedrooms, big enough to host up to 14 guests at a time.

The Pershing 6X runs on two MAN V12 1550mhp engines and can reach a top speed of up to 48 knots (around 55 mph). It also houses an on-board jet ski garage, ensuring Russell nor his companions ever miss out on their chance at an adrenaline rush, even on the high seas.

Given the Norfolk-born star now lives on the French Riviera, buying one's own yacht seems like a natural progression. After all, what better place to launch one's nautical adventures from when getting some much-needed downtime after an intense F1 campaign?

Influencer girlfriend

Russell has been in a relationship with Spanish influencer Carmen Montero Mundt since 2020 when they were introduced to one another by a mutual friend. The story goes that Mundt was due to go on a date with one of Russell's friends but ended up sat opposite the Mercedes man himself after a late change of plans.

It ended up being a fortuitous twist of fate considering the couple are still going strong. And Mundt is no trophy partner, either, given her extensive work in investor relations, as well as co-founding her own skincare company, Barriers.

Mundt boasts just shy of 800,000 followers on Instagram and is regularly spotted alongside Russell at public events like premieres and major tennis tournaments. And she'll be hoping to be front and centre should Russell lives up to the hype by winning a first world title this year.

Monaco lifestyle and car collection

It was around 2023/24 that Russell officially upped and made the permanent move to Monaco. Prior to that, he had lived in Milton Keynes, Wisbech and London but is rubbing elbows with the other F1 elite in Monte Carlo these days.

A glance at Russell or Mundt's social media accounts gives a glimpse into just how glamorous the lifestyle they've come to adopt truly is. And that includes using a £2.5m Mercedes-AMG ONE hypercar as the 28-year-old's everyday drive around town.

Russell is largely loyal to the Silver Arrows and also counts a vintage Mercedes 280 SL Pagoda among his favourite drives. Speaking of his AMG ONE in the past, he said: "It literally feels like a Formula One car. It's got an F1 engine. The noise, the shifts, the acceleration, the low centre of gravity, everything. It gives me the same feeling as I get from the race car."
