UPSC CSE 2025 Mains Result UPSC CSE 2025 Topper List: UPSC has released the final results of the Civil Services Examination 2025, including the main exam and interview results. A total of 958 candidates have been selected for various services. This time, the highest number of candidates were selected from the general category, but OBC candidates also excelled. How many were selected from which category?

UPSC has finally selected 958 candidates based on merit. Of these, 317 candidates from the General category were successful, while 306 candidates from the OBC category, 158 from the SC category, and 104 from the EWS category were selected. 73 candidates from the ST category were successful. The total of 958 also includes 42 candidates from the PwBD (Divyang) category.



How many posts for which services?

The government has announced recruitment for a total of 1,087 posts across various services. Of these, 958 candidates have been recommended. Different numbers have been set for different positions:



IAS (Indian Administrative Service): 180 posts

IFS (Indian Foreign Service): 55 posts

IPS (Indian Police Service): 150 posts

Central Services (Group A): 507 posts

Group B Services: 195 posts

Of these 1,087 posts, 42 are reserved for the PwBD category.

Selection of 348 candidates is provisional

The selection of 348 candidates for the UPSC Civil Services is currently provisional. Final selection will be made only after verification of their documents and other procedures. The results of two candidates have been withheld for some reason. Their names have not been released yet. The marks of the selected candidates will be made available on the UPSC website within 15 days of the declaration of results. The written examination was held in August 2025, and interviews were conducted between December 2025 and February 2026. These figures show that the highest number of successes this time came from the General and OBC categories. A significant number of candidates from SC and ST categories also succeeded.
