This highly anticipated project is helmed by Tamil director Ra Karthik, who gained recognition for his film Nitham Oru Vaanam. Currently in production, the film has generated considerable excitement among fans, marking a pivotal moment for the actor. Reports indicate that Nagarjuna will showcase stylish looks reminiscent of his iconic roles in blockbuster films like Shiva and Ratchagan.

The film was officially launched in October 2025 with a modest muhurtham puja ceremony. Industry insiders report that the shooting is progressing well, with more information about the film expected to be revealed soon. In a recent interview, director Ra Karthik mentioned that audiences will witness a very stylish version of Nagarjuna on screen, hinting at multiple looks that echo some of his legendary performances.

Karthik also noted that fans can anticipate a vibe similar to Nagarjuna’s appearances in films like Shiva, Ratchagan, and Coolie. He shared an interesting anecdote from their discussions, revealing that when he asked Nagarjuna why he opted for a Tamil director for such a significant project, the actor responded that it was not a concern for him. The script has been meticulously crafted over the past year, with Ra Karthik dedicating months to tailor the story to fit Nagarjuna’s unique screen presence and style. Throughout this period, the actor and director met frequently to refine the narrative and establish the film’s tone. To portray Nagarjuna’s close friend in the story, the filmmakers have cast Ravindra Vijay, who has recently gained recognition in Telugu cinema with roles in films like Ghaati and Kothapallilo Okkapudu earlier in 2025. The film is being produced under Annapurna Studios, which is owned by Nagarjuna Akkineni himself. Additionally, music composer Devi Sri Prasad is anticipated to create the film's soundtrack.

While working on King 100, director Ra Karthik is also preparing for another project. His upcoming film, Made in Korea, is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on March 12. This film features Priyanka Mohan and Park Hye-jin in a cross-cultural narrative set in South Korea, following a young woman as she navigates life and loneliness in Seoul after experiencing a relationship betrayal, ultimately discovering resilience and forming meaningful friendships.
