Healthy and tasty snack option

Nowadays, people with light appetite in the evening like to eat something which is not only tasty but also beneficial for health. In such a situation, it becomes necessary to find healthy alternatives instead of fried and oily snacks. If you want to try something new and healthy for your evening snack, avocado fries can be a great option. Avocado is considered a superfood, because it contains healthy fat, fiber and many important nutrients, which along with giving energy to the body, are also beneficial for heart health. With a crispy exterior and soft interior, these avocado fries are so delicious that once you eat them, you’ll want to make them again and again. The special thing is that they are very easy to make and they are ready in a few minutes.

Ingredients for Avocado Fries

1 ripe avocado, ½ cup flour or cornflour, ½ cup bread crumbs, 1 egg (or 2 tsp cornflour + water for vegetarian option), ½ tsp black pepper powder, ½ tsp red chili powder, ½ tsp garlic powder (optional), salt to taste and oil for frying or a little oil spray for baking/air frying.

How to Make Avocado Fries

First of all, cut the avocado in half, remove the seeds and peel. Now cut it into thin slices in the shape of long fries.

Now prepare three bowls. Place flour or cornflour in the first bowl, beaten egg (or cornflour solution) in the second bowl and bread crumbs mixed with salt, black pepper, red chilli and garlic powder in the third bowl.

Now first wrap the avocado slices in flour, then dip them in egg or batter and finally coat them well in bread crumbs.

After this, you can make them in two ways. If you want crispy fries, fry them in lightly hot oil until golden brown. At the same time, for a healthy option, they can be baked in air fryer or oven at 180°C for 8–10 minutes.

When the fries become golden and crispy, take them out and serve hot with your favorite dip or sauce.
