A popular shopping centre in Bradford has seen a wave of new openings, with four businesses launching in just two months. The Broadway shopping centre in Bradford city centre has welcomed several new brands recently, with more set to open.

Among the latest additions are key cutting brand Timpson and photo specialist Max Spielmann, which both opened their doors to customers in recent weeks.

The centre has also seen the arrival of Dough Club, which is serving Detroit-style pizza from a kiosk inside the shopping complex. Visitors can order their pizza using digital screens located at the kiosk before collecting their food.

The openings form part of continued investment and expansion at The Broadway, which is one of Bradford's main shopping destinations.

More new businesses are also preparing to open their doors. Two Bradford-based food brands, Berries and Big Jack Potatoes, are set to launch at the shopping centre's food court.

The new arrivals are expected to create around 25 jobs.

Berries is already well known locally following the popularity of its drive-in site on Manchester Road.

The business serves a wide range of drinks, including mocktails, smoothies, bubble teas, shakes and juices, as well as its viral pina colada lassi.

Big Jack Potatoes specialises in loaded baked potatoes with a range of fillings. Popular options include chicken Italiano, spicy tuna crunch and halloumi.

Raza Zulfiqar, marketing director for both brands, said bringing the businesses into the city centre was an exciting step.

He said: "We're proud to be bringing two Bradford-born brands into the heart of the city. The Broadway is a landmark location that connects us directly with our community, and it's the perfect setting to continue our journey of growth.

"The response to the Berries drive-in has been incredible, and now we're ready to take that energy into The Broadway with both Berries and Big Jack Potatoes side by side. Watch this space for our opening date and exclusive launch offers."

The Berries team has since confirmed that its Broadway branch is set to open on March 26.

The announcement was shared on social media, where the company told customers: "Bradford. We are coming to Broadway in March."

The Broadway has been a central part of Bradford's shopping scene since it opened in 2015, bringing major retailers, restaurants and entertainment to the city centre.

The centre includes a mix of high street stores, independent businesses and food outlets.
