Shortage of commercial LPG cylinders and increasing use of induction cooktops

These days, shortage of commercial LPG cylinders has become a serious problem in various cities of India. The main reason for this is the interruption in energy supply from Gulf countries. In this situation, many homes and small kitchens are now looking for other options for cooking. For this reason, induction cooktop Has suddenly emerged as a popular and convenient option. If you are also using an induction cooktop, then it is important to keep in mind some important points for its proper use.

Use only induction supported utensils

The most common mistake when using an induction cooktop is selecting the wrong utensil. In particular, aluminum, copper, glass or common ceramic utensils do not work on induction. The stove will turn on, but food will not be cooked. To cook food on an induction cooktop, the base of the vessel must be magnetic. So, before cooking, place magnets on the bottom of the vessel to ensure it is suitable for induction.

Do not leave metal objects on induction

Another common mistake when caring for an induction cooktop is leaving metal objects on it. Leaving various materials, such as spoons, forks, lids or aluminum foil, on the cooktop can cause them to heat up. Induction magnetic field affects not only utensils but also other metal objects. Therefore, place only cookware on the induction surface.

Do not block ventilation vents

It is also a serious mistake to close the ventilation vents at the bottom or back of the induction cooktop. This prevents air from flowing properly, which can cause the appliance to heat up and affect its functionality. Therefore, when using an induction cooktop, some free space should be left around it.

Do not use induction if cracks are seen on the glass surface.

If any cracks appear in the glass surface of the cooktop, it is not safe to use. Small cracks can allow water or other liquid to reach the circuits inside, increasing the risk of electric shock or short circuit. Thus, if there is a crack on the cooktop, stop using it immediately.

Unplug induction when cleaning

While cleaning an induction cooktop, it should be unplugged to avoid any danger. Also, try to keep other electronic devices, such as a microwave or TV, away from it to reduce the effects of electromagnetic interference.
