What are the Eligibility Criteria for SSB Constable Tradesman?

Specific eligibility criteria have been prescribed for each post.

For the post of Constable (Veterinary), candidates must have passed the 10th standard and possess one year of relevant experience.

For the post of Constable Driver, candidates must have passed the 10th standard and hold a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License. For the positions of Gardener, Water Carrier, Cobbler, Tailor, Washerman, Barber, and Waiter, candidates must have passed the 10th grade along with a one-year ITI certificate; alternatively, they must possess one year of experience from a vocational institute, or hold a two-year diploma and have passed a trade test.



For the position of Constable (Carpenter), candidates must have passed the 10th grade and possess two years of relevant experience, or hold a one-year ITI certificate/vocational qualification, or possess a two-year diploma and have passed a trade test.

For the position of Constable (Nursing), candidates must have passed the 10th grade, hold a First Aid certificate, and possess one year of relevant experience. Candidates may also verify this information regarding eligibility criteria by consulting the official recruitment notification.



What is the Age Limit for SSB Constables?

Age Limit: The minimum age requirement is 18 years. The maximum age limit varies by post, ranging from 23 to 27 years. Age relaxation will be granted to candidates belonging to reserved categories in accordance with applicable rules.

Race/Run: Male candidates are required to complete a 4.8 km run within 24 minutes. Female candidates will be allotted 18 minutes to complete a 2.4 km run.



Selection Process: Selection will be conducted through various stages, including the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST), Written Examination, Document Verification and Skill Test, Medical Examination, Review Medical Examination, and Final Selection.

Salary: Candidates will receive a monthly salary under Level-03, ranging from ₹21,700 to ₹69,100.
