New Delhi . The name about which there was most concern and discussion before IPL 2026 has finally come out as a news of relief. Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is now fully fit and has joined Mumbai Indians and his return has given major relief to the team as well as the fans. However, a funny moment was also associated with this comeback which has created a stir on social media.

In fact, when Bumrah joined the team, his teammate and New Zealand fast bowler Trent Boult teased him in a filmy style. He welcomed Bumrah by saying the famous dialogue Ghar ki yaad nahi aayi tujhe Jassi. This dialogue is to the recently discussed film Dhurandhar in which Ranveer Singh’s character is called by the same name. Bumrah is also known as Jassi in the team, so this joke immediately went viral.

Mumbai Indians shared the video of this entire moment on their social media platform and wrote in the caption, Aagaya Hamara Dhurandhar. After this, the fans also shared this video fiercely and expressed happiness over the return of Bumrah. There was speculation about Bumrah, who was suffering from injuries for a long time, especially when he reached BCCI’s Center of Excellence in Bengaluru. Due to this, speculations were being made that perhaps he is not completely fit.

But now the team management has made it clear that Bumrah is completely ready. Team coach Mahela Jayawardene has also given positive indications regarding his fitness. Bumrah has recently performed brilliantly in the T20 World Cup 2026 and looking at his form, it is expected that he will show his talent in the IPL as well.

Mumbai Indians’ first match in IPL 2026 is to be played on March 29 against Kolkata Knight Riders at Wankhede Stadium. There is every possibility of Bumrah playing in this match, which can make the match even more exciting.

Bumrah’s return is not only considered to be the return of one player but also the return of the team’s confidence. His accurate yorkers and lethal death over bowling have always been the strength of Mumbai Indians. In such a situation, when he comes on the field again, the challenge for the opposing teams will become even more difficult.

This entire incident also showed that cricket is not just a game of competition but also of friendship and light moments where players share such fun moments with each other which become memorable for the fans.
