New Delhi: The Indian two-wheeler market is seeing a mix of updates across segments, from entry-level commuters to high-performance machines. Motor makers are focusing on refining engines, adding features, and adjusting strategies to fit changing regulations and buyer preferences.


Some updates are small and focused on usability, while others are clearly aimed at performance enthusiasts. At the same time, a few new models are also in the pipeline, from Royal Enfield’s first EV, Flying Flea C6, to Triumph’s upcoming 350 cc segment. It shows that companies are trying to stay relevant in a crowded market.


Royal Enfield: Guerrilla 450 Apex and Flying Flea C6


Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450



Royal Enfield has introduced the Guerrilla 450 Apex, which uses a 452cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. It produces 40 bhp and 40 Nm of torque and comes with a six-speed gearbox. The bike is offered in three colours, including red, green, and black. Prices start at Rs 2.49 lakh and go up to Rs 2.56 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom, Chennai). On the Flying Flea C6 side brand has not revealed details about the battery pack or motor yet.

The KTM 890 Adventure R Rally is built for off-road use. It runs on an 889cc parallel-twin LC8c engine that produces 106 hp at 8,000 rpm and 100 Nm at 6,500 rpm. It gets a six-speed gearbox with Quickshifter+ as standard. KTM has also added rider aids like Rally mode, adjustable traction control, cornering ABS with off-road settings, and motor slip regulation to improve handling in tough conditions.

The990 RC R Track is a more track-focused version. It uses a 947cc parallel-twin LC8c engine, producing 135 hp and 105 Nm of torque. This is slightly higher than the standard model, which makes 130 hp and 103 Nm. The bike also gets a racing gearbox setup, where the first gear is longer, and the sixth gear is shorter, making it better suited for track riding.

The new Apache RTR 160 4V continues with the same 159.7cc single-cylinder engine but offers multiple riding modes. In Sport mode, it produces 17.6 hp at 9,250 rpm and 14.73 Nm at 7,500 rpm. In Urban and Rain modes, output drops to 15.6 hp at 8,650 rpm and 14.1 Nm at 7,250 rpm.

Triumph is working on a sub-350cc bike



At the same time, Triumph is working on new sub-350cc bikes with Bajaj. This move is aimed at benefiting from a lower 18 per cent tax slab instead of the current 40 per cent under GST 2.0. The new setup could reduce power by around 3–5 bhp compared to the existing 399cc engine, which currently produces 40 bhp and 37.5 Nm. The Thruxton version makes slightly more at 42 bhp.
