A woman was stunned after she pulled up outside her home and found an unexpected sight waiting for her outside her car.

It was a dark night, and she’d been driving for an hour to get back to her apartment building in an unnamed city after helping her mum, who was recovering from foot surgery. While unloading her car, she heard a strange noise.

After investigating the “tiny” noises, she found a baby chicken which was completely “alone” yet somehow had made its way inside her “apartment complex”.

The woman, who posts content online under the name Honey Havenly, was baffled by the little bird’s presence but scooped him up to try and take care of him. She recorded the surprise encounter and uploaded a string of videos to the hit social media platform, TikTok.

In one video, she captured the moment she discovered the baby chicken. The footage shows the little bird approaching her. Honey can be heard asking: “Are you okay, what are you? Hi, honey. Are you a chicken? What are you?”

She then said: “Oh my gosh, where’s your mama?” as the baby chicken got closer and closer to her.

Honey picked him up and showed him to the camera and, in a surprised voice, she simply added: “This is a chicken.”

In the caption accompanying the clip, Honey penned: “This is the footage of me finding him! I couldn’t believe what I was seeing!”

In the comments section, fellow TikTok users were keen to share their thoughts. One person said: “I’m getting really tired of this not happening to me.”

Another said: “‘Where’s your mom?’ *Immediately goes to YOU*”.

A third commented: “Am I the only one who doesn’t live in a goddamn Disney film?!?! WHEN’S IT GONNA BE MY TURN!!!!!!!”

A fourth joked: “At this point I’m about to start walking in a local wooded area singing opera, wearing a ridiculously inappropriate dress for such an activity, with my arms out hoping to attract some woodland creatures”.

Someone else said: “When you asked ‘what are you’ that baby started explaining how it got separated from its mom and doesn’t know what to do”.

To which, Honey replied: “Why did this make me tear up”.

In a previous video, she explained: “Just got home from helping my mom after foot surgery, caring for my grandma, and tending her chickens.

“I drove an hour home back to the city, was unloading my car and heard tiny chirp noises, followed the sound and somehow found a baby chicken alone in my apartment complex?! What are the chances?!?! POOR BABY”.

In Honey’s most recent TikTok video featuring the baby chicken, she could be seen boxing him up for a “road trip” to take to her mother’s house, as her mum has chickens and cares for them.

She explained: “We’re gonna take the baby chicken to my mum’s so he can live with other chickens once he’s big enough.”

The footage then showed her getting into the passenger seat while holding the chicken in a towel. The box with supplies and toys was placed on the backseat.

At the end of the video, Honey got out of the car and stood in a vast open space littered with trees. She said: “So this is my mum’s property. Let’s go, baby.”

One TikTok user commented: “it ended too quickly!!!” But Honey replied: “It’s not the end!! He has the best home with my momma”.

There have been no further updates about the baby chicken since.
