LPG Cylinder Tips and Tricks: The impact of tensions in the Middle East has also been felt in India. Complaints regarding delays in LPG cylinder deliveries and partial shortages are emerging from several states. In light of this, consumers must exercise complete vigilance when receiving cylinder deliveries at home. In this regard, we are sharing today the key points you should keep in mind while accepting a cylinder delivery at your doorstep to avoid any future complications. Let's explore these important tips and tricks...

1. **Always Check the Safety Cap and Seal**
When accepting a cylinder from the delivery personnel, pay close attention to the seal or safety cap on the nozzle. If the cylinder lacks a seal, immediately request a different cylinder from the delivery person. This is because the absence of a safety cap or seal significantly increases the risk of a gas leak.

2. **Check the Weight**
Do not, under any circumstances, forget to check the weight of the cylinder before accepting it from the delivery person. When receiving the cylinder, have it weighed using either an electronic or a manual weighing scale. If the weight appears to be less than expected, or if you harbor any doubts, do not accept that specific cylinder; instead, request an exchange.

3. **Check for Leaks**
Remember to check for any leaks when accepting a new cylinder from the delivery person. A leaking cylinder poses a significant safety hazard. If you detect any signs of leakage during the delivery process, immediately request a replacement cylinder from the delivery person. Furthermore, if you have already accepted the new cylinder and subsequently notice a leak after connecting it to your stove, contact the agency immediately.

4. **Check the Safety Testing Code**
When accepting a cylinder, be sure to check its safety testing code. This code indicates "the specific year and quarter in which the cylinder is due to be sent for re-testing."

A: January – March (First Quarter)
B: April – June (Second Quarter)
C: July – September (Third Quarter)
D: October – December (Fourth Quarter)
