The Artemis 2 NASA mission is currently on its journey home after the four astronauts went farther from Earth than any humans in history and around the dark side of the Moon.

The crew is set to splash down in the ocean near San Diego at 5:07pm PST on Friday evening.

Queen guitarist Sir Brian May, who has a doctorate in astrophysics, has been keenly following the first trip to the Moon in 50 years.

And naturally was "honoured...!!!" to discover that Flight Day 8's Wakeup Song was Under Pressure.

The 1981 UK No 1 single was penned by Queen and David Bowie, who shared the vocals with Freddie Mercury.

Sharing the news on his Instagram, Sir Brian wrote: "Happy to be waking up the heroes in their space ship rounding up their amazing trip around the Moon !! Happy Landings guys !! You rock !!! Bri." Meanwhile, Queen drummer Roger Taylor shared on his Instagram stories: "What you guys are doing is incredible! Honoured to be part of your wake up."
