There are strong indications that the show “Arafta” (also known as “In Limbo” and “Bound by Fate”) will survive and have a second season; however, a confirmed announcement has not yet been made as of mid-April 2026.

The show premiered on November 21st, 2025, on YouTube and Kanal 7, produced by GoQuest Media from India and Rains Pictures from Turkey. It was an instant hit and has amassed 1 million YouTube subscribers within 43 days, while securing multiple international partnerships, including Amazon MX Player in India. The show follows the intertwined lives of Ateş (Emin Günenç) and Mercan (İlsu Demirci) through the twists and turns of love, revenge, betrayal, and redemption, amid tragedy, secrecy, and family drama.

Season 1 of Arafta was intended to have a runtime of around 100 episodes (with daily/weekly drops and mega-sized episodes), so as we approach the end of season one (season finale is estimated to be around April 17-18, 2026), this show has intentionally built up anticipation with a recent schedule change and not having new episodes airing on multiple dates. Since a lot of unresolved plotlines exist (such as the fate of Ateş’s sister) and conflict around those plots still exist, Arafta has continued to leave significant opportunities to continue possible future seasons.

Renewal news is buzzing: GoQuest Media producer Vivek Lath has confirmed work is taking place for season 2. A formal announcement will follow shortly, along with a famous quote stating there is no “Arafta” without “MerTeş.” Many cast members and agents have also provided support via social media. Fan community sites (Reddit, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube) have celebrated and posted videos and written about the renewal being certain. Some older rumors were April Fool’s day jokes, but they are much more substantive than many Producer statements.

While all production details, the exact premiere date, and returning cast for season 2 are still unconfirmed by the Producers, the strong ratings, global popularity, and enthusiasm of the producers are more than sufficient reasons for fans to expect season 2 to be renewed. Watch for updates after the finale. Fans can view all episodes via YouTube (with subtitles in over 30 languages); MX Player and others also have episodes available.
