Ninjago: Dragons Rising, Season 5, is being produced, and it will be the final season.

The release of Season 4’s first half took place on April 2nd, 2026, while the second half is expected to be released in Fall 2026. This follows the previous season’s typical release pattern. LEGO has confirmed that Dragons Rising will have 5 total seasons (approximately 100 episodes) and is in the active development stage for both Seasons 4 and 5. Season 5 is scheduled for 2027, and most likely the first half will be released in spring/summer of 2027, and the second half will be released later in 2027.

Here are the details that we have seen so far:

  • Sets: The Winter/Summer 2027 sets are expected to correspond with Season 5 storylines, according to early leaks and fan speculation that new mechs and new characters, such as Kundi, will be introduced. The new villain, Master Lord Ras, will also be a threat in Season 5 (and Ras will be a secondary threat). The 2026 season sets will correspond to the 2026 release of Season 4.
  • Story: Major arcs (likely involving the source dragons, the merged realms, and high-stakes battles) will be concluded in Season 5. Voice actors (including Vincent Tong) have already been recording voice material for Season 5 to show that they are actively producing the show. There have also been reports that the Ninjago franchise will be continued with a new series or spin-off after Dragons Rising.
  • Production: The writing team, led by Kevin Burke and Chris Wyatt, will continue the story of the ninja and their adventures in the Merged Realms. LEGO’s long-range plans will extend beyond 2027 with further Ninjago releases.

There has not yet been any clarification as to when the episode of Season 5 is going to come out—expect more reveals at events like Brickworld Chicago or SDCC-style panels later in 2026. Fans are excited for a strong finale, though some hope for extensions beyond five seasons
