The match between the Rajasthan Royals and the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium ended up being yet another high-scoring affair, with the latter managing to chase down the target of 229 with nine deliveries remaining in IPL 2026.

The Royals managed to pile up a hefty total of 228 runs for the loss of six wickets in twenty overs, mainly owing to the outstanding knock of 103 runs from 37 deliveries by Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and the reliable 51 runs by Dhruv Jurel. There were some noteworthy contributions from Donovan Ferreira in the innings, although dropped catches in the field came back to haunt them later on. In response, Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan put their team in contention with an extraordinary stand of 132 runs for the second wicket.

Ishan Kishan became the man behind the chase, with his magnificent score of 74 runs from just 31 deliveries and being named the Player of the Match. The efforts of Heinrich Klaasen and Nitish Kumar Reddy prevented any glitches in the latter part of the match as SRH won the game comfortably. Although Rajathan Royals put up a good show in the form of Jofra Archer, who took two wickets, poor fielding let SRH win the match easily.
