Gerard Butler to star as lead in ‘The Nest’The Sun reported that the Scottish actor and film producer has been confirmed to lead an upcoming action film titled ‘The Nest.’ The project has been valued at EUR 60 million and has been officially announced as a part of the Cannes film market . It is being called one of the most “ambitious” projects of the year, as per the reports. Along with leading the film as an actor, Butler is also reportedly dabbling in producing the film as well.
The production for the upcoming film is set to start early next year and is currently in the process of development and pre-production. The storyline has been written by Aaron Benjamin and is reportedly inspired by the real-life stories of actual operatives in the field.
What is the premise of ‘The Nest’?The premise of the upcoming thriller film is set around the life of an expert marksman, to be played by Butler, who receives a threat through an anonymous radio show during a match at the tournament. He is then faced with the dilemma of saving his own family members, along with around 70,000 people, all packed into a stadium, from a massive attack set on to kill everyone in the vicinity.
