What is the monthly limit on WhatsApp Broadcast messages?

WhatsApp Broadcast: The messaging platform WhatsApp offers many useful features. One of these is the broadcast message feature. It allows you to create a broadcast list, eliminating the need to select contacts each time you send a message. This feature allows you to send messages to multiple people simultaneously. Note that this feature is only available on mobile. Today, we'll learn how to create a broadcast list and how many broadcasts can be sent per month.

How to create a broadcast list?

To create a broadcast list, tap your profile icon and then tap Broadcast Messages. You'll see the option to create a list. Users can create any number of broadcast lists, but only 256 contacts can be added to each list. It's also important to note that the contacts you add to this list must have your number saved in their address book. If the number isn't saved, your messages won't reach them. Your messages to contacts on the broadcast list will be sent as individual messages, and even if someone replies to them, you'll receive an individual message. The rest of the contacts on the list won't know about it.

Separate rules for WhatsApp Business

WhatsApp Business has slightly different broadcasting rules. A list of up to 256 contacts can be created. Upon purchasing the API, users have the option to choose from different plans, allowing them to send unlimited messages within 24 hours.

Is there a limit on broadcast messages?

WhatsApp says that while broadcasts can help convey important messages, they can also be a source of inconvenience. Therefore, the company has limited the number of broadcasts. To view the limit on your account, go to Settings and tap Broadcast. The limit will be displayed there. WhatsApp says that when a user is about to reach the limit, they are notified through a notification. Some reports suggest that users can broadcast 250 times per month. Furthermore, the WhatsApp Help Center states that the limit has begun rolling out in some countries. The monthly broadcast limit feature is being rolled out gradually and is not yet available everywhere.
