Startup Targets Growing Digital Reputation Risks

Gurugram-based trust-tech startup DiReFTY has launched a digital reputation protection platform designed to help businesses detect and respond to online threats.

The platform addresses risks such as fake reviews, impersonation, counterfeit listings, fraudulent websites and trademark misuse. The company said these threats increasingly affect customer trust, brand reputation and business performance.

DiReFTY will initially focus on sectors where online credibility plays a critical role. These include healthcare, hospitality, direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands, education, real estate, professional services and the creator economy.

Platform Combines Monitoring and Enforcement

The startup has built its offering around a four-stage framework: Detect, Respond, Enforce and Protect.

Its services include online reputation monitoring, fake review detection, trademark enforcement, counterfeit listing identification, fake website detection, impersonation monitoring and digital threat intelligence.

According to the company, the platform combines continuous monitoring with risk assessment and enforcement workflows to help organisations respond before online threats escalate.

Founder Highlights Need for Proactive Protection

“Businesses invest significant time and resources in building their reputation, yet many remain vulnerable to digital threats,” said Ashwini Kumar, Founder, DiReFTY.

“Fake reviews, impersonation attacks, misleading content and fraudulent websites can quickly undermine customer trust. We built DiReFTY to help organisations identify and address these risks before they become larger reputation challenges,” he added.

Growing Market for Trust-Tech

The launch comes as consumers increasingly rely on online reviews, search results and social media before making purchasing decisions.

As a result, reputation management is expanding beyond public relations. Businesses are investing more in technology that helps monitor digital channels and protect brand integrity.

DiReFTY said it aims to build a scalable trust-tech ecosystem that combines monitoring, intelligence and enforcement to strengthen digital trust and customer confidence.

Rising Importance of Digital Reputation

The growth of e-commerce, social media and digital marketplaces has increased the impact of online reputation on business outcomes.

Technology platforms that help organisations identify misinformation, fake identities and intellectual property misuse are attracting growing attention as companies seek to protect their brands in an increasingly digital economy.

With its new platform, DiReFTY aims to position itself within the emerging trust-tech segment by helping businesses manage digital reputation risks more effectively.
