Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana has finally been announced after much anticipation. Fans are expected to be thrilled when the film, which has been in production for a few months, is shown in two tremendous parts on big screens. Earlier, when photos of Sai Pallavi and Ranbir Kapoor were leaked from the sets, the movie became the talk of town. A sweet touch to the announcement is that, the film was introduced to the world on Alia Bhatt and Ranbir's Kapoor's daughter Raha Kapoor's birthday! The anticipation is only increasing now that the film's producers have made an official announcement. Here is everything you need to know about Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana before we get more updates from the makers. 

As announced by the makers, Ramayana is going to be released in two parts. Ramayana part 1 will be released on Diwali 2026 followed by Ramayana part 2 which will drop on Diwali 2027. 

Producer Namit Malhotra shared the big announcement with the caption, “More than a decade ago, I embarked on a noble quest to bring this epic that has ruled billions of hearts for over 5000 years to the big screen. And today, I am thrilled to see it taking shape beautifully as our teams work tirelessly with only one purpose…”

Ranbir Kapoor will play the role of Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi will be a part of the movie as Goddess Sita. In addition to them, KGF star Yash will star in the movie as Ravana. Ravi Dubey, who is known for his work in the world of Television will be in the movie as Lord Laxman. If reports are anything to go by, then Sunny Deol will play Lord Hanuman, while actress Lara Dutta will play Kiakayi.
