The deadline to apply for the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) 2024 is fast approaching. The exam, scheduled for December 22, 2024, is open for registration until November 15, 2024.

The AIBE is a certification exam conducted by the Bar Council of India (BCI) for law graduates wishing to practice as lawyers. Held twice a year, it is an open book exam designed to assess the fundamental legal knowledge and analytical skills of candidates.

Upon successfully passing the AIBE, candidates are awarded a Certificate of Practice by the Bar Council of India, allowing them to appear in court hearings across various tribunals, courts, and administrative bodies.

The exam will be held offline over a duration of 3.5 hours and will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions based on the official syllabus available on the BCI website

The exam is open to final-year law students who are in their last semester of a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. program, as well as law graduates who have completed their degree but are not yet enrolled with any State Bar Council. Those who have surrendered their enrollment certificates due to employment may also register. All applicants must have no backlogs from previous semesters.
