- Previous Deadline: Initially set for November 30, 2024, extended twice to December 15, 2024, and now to January 15, 2025.

Steps to Activate EPF UAN through Aadhaar-based OTP
- Visit the EPFO Member Portal: Open the portal in your browser.
- Click “Activate UAN”: This option is available under the “Important Links” section.
- Provide Required Details:
- UAN
- Aadhaar number
- Name
- Date of birth (DOB)
- Aadhaar-linked mobile number
- Ensure Aadhaar Linking: Verify that your mobile number is linked with Aadhaar for smooth access to services.
- Agree to OTP Verification: Confirm your consent for Aadhaar OTP verification.
- Receive Authorization PIN: Click on "Get Authorization PIN" to receive the OTP on your Aadhaar-linked mobile.
- Enter OTP: Enter the OTP to complete the activation process.
- Receive Password: A password will be sent to your registered mobile number upon successful activation.
EPFO’s Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) Scheme – Key Features
The ELI Scheme includes three distinct variants designed to support job creation and incentivize employment:
Scheme A – First-time Employees
- Provides a one-month wage to new employees entering the workforce in all formal sectors.
- Direct benefit transfer of up to ₹15,000 in 3 installments.
- Eligible employees must have a salary below ₹1 lakh per month.
Scheme B – Job Creation in Manufacturing
- Focuses on incentivizing additional employment in the manufacturing sector.
- Incentives provided to both employees and employers for EPFO contributions in the first 4 years of employment.
Scheme C – Support to Employers
- Covers additional employment across all sectors.
- Employers will receive ₹3,000 per month for 2 years for each new employee added with a salary of ₹1 lakh or below.
