Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan's father Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi has been a legendary player of the Indian cricket team. He was the youngest captain of Team India. But BCCI did a great injustice to this legendary cricketer, famous as Nawab Pataudi. After this, he had to take the path of court. He filed a case against the board for which he once played cricket. However, the decision in this case could not come during his lifetime. Why did Nawab Pataudi file a case against BCCI? Let's find out.

In fact, Nawab Pataudi had dragged the BCCI, which is considered to be the richest board in cricket, to the court over money matters. He had filed a petition in the Bombay High Court in April 2011, claiming that the board had not paid Rs 1.16 crore. According to Pataudi, he was made a consultant in the IPL Governing Council.

On 1 October 2007, a 5-year agreement was signed between BCCI and him for the post of consultant, under which Rs 1 crore was to be paid every year. To end the contract midway, it was necessary to follow the terms of the agreement. But BCCI did not do so. Saif Ali Khan's father also told that under this agreement, he received Rs 50 lakh in August 2008.

Later in October 2010, BCCI asked him to continue in the Governing Council under the new rules of IPL, in which there was no mention of money. As a result, the old agreement ended automatically. But his remaining money was not given. Neither did the board agree to the conditions and pay the tax. Therefore, he dragged BCCI to the court to pay a total of 1.16 crores including tax.

Death within 6 months of going to court

The decision on this petition filed by Saif Ali Khan's father was yet to come and he died. He left this world about 6 months after going to court against BCCI.
