Hoang and representatives of his family traveled to Thanh Hoa City, Nhi’s hometown, to present betrothal gifts and complete the engagement ceremony on Wednesday morning. The couple had been in a relationship before deciding to marry.

Hoang, 25, has maintained a low profile and rarely appears in public, except at events connected to Vingroup, the conglomerate founded by his father specializing in technology, real estate, retail, and services from healthcare to hospitality.

His first public appearance was in Nov. 2024, when he welcomed the Bulgarian President to a VinFast factory in Hai Phong, the automotive subsidiary of Vingroup. Shortly after, Hoang was spotted dining in Hanoi with his brother Pham Nhat Quan Anh and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang.

On Dec. 6, 2024, he joined his father and brother at the 2024 VinFuture Prize, an international award promoting scientific breakthroughs, presented by the VinFuture Foundation established by Vingroup.

Hoang plays an active role in the family’s business ventures. Previously serving as Global Marketing Director for VinFast, he holds a 5% stake in VinVentures, a $150-million technology investment fund supported by his father and Vingroup.

Hoang is also the General Director and legal representative of FGF, a company founded by Vuong in July 2024 with a charter capital of VND200 billion ($7.88 million). Within four months, FGF became Vietnam’s leading electric vehicle rental service, operating over 3,238 vehicles nationwide.

In Nov. 2024, Hoang co-founded VinRobotics JSC with Vuong and his brother Anh, focusing on automation, robotics, and AI. The company has a charter capital of VND1 trillion, with Vingroup holding 51%, Vuong 39%, and each son 5%.

As of Wednesday, Forbes estimates his father Vuong’s net worth at $4.1 billion, ranking him the richest man in Vietnam.

Hoang’s fianceé Nhi, 23, won the second runner-up title at the 2022 Miss World Vietnam contest. She then represented Vietnam at the 2023 Miss International contest, where she reached the top 15. She once shared that her parents ran a small business selling household goods.

Before her engagement to Hoang, Nhi had been absent from the public eye for about a year. Her last social media post in April of last year sparked speculation that she had left her management company and was preparing for marriage. At the time, her management clarified that she was focusing on her studies at Hanoi Law University.
