The Indian men’s team advanced to the Kho Kho World Cup quarterfinals on Thursday after beating Bhutan 71-34 to extend their winning run.

Additionally, the victory secured India’s top spot in Group A.

The men’s and women’s finals of the current Kho Kho World Cup 2025 will take place on Sunday, after it began on Monday.

Twenty men’s and 19 women’s teams have entered the first-ever Kho Kho tournament, which is supported by the Indian Olympic Association (IOA).

The Indian women’s team is in Group A with the Islamic Republic of Iran, Malaysia, and the Republic of Korea, while the Indian men’s squad is in Group A with Nepal, Peru, Brazil, and Bhutan. Each group’s top two teams will advance to the quarterfinals.

The current Kho Kho World Cup 2025’s men’s and women’s competitions started with the group stages, which will be followed by the elimination rounds. On January 19, the finals will take place.
