Viewers wouldn't expect to see Jamie babying diners. However, as part of scenes filmed for 's Big Show, that's exactly what he was doing.

An exclusive first look at the footage reveals a waitress telling a bewildered guest at one of his restaurants: "Because Jamie is here tonight, we do have a special menu. So it's Jamie's personal service basically, so you can pay extra to get Jamie involved in the meal."

She added: "There's a napkin tuck, so he will come and tuck your napkin in for you, that's only £50. There's a spoon feed, so Jamie will come and feed you with a spoon."

Open-mouthed onlookers then watched as Jamie duly spoon-fed a businessman and offered a "complimentary" napkin tuck. With numerous celebs beginning to play an active role in their own businesses, including Jeremy Clarkson pulling pints - not to mention drinking them - at his own pub, it looks like Jamie could be trying to get in on the action.

However, it was all an elaborate hoax, with the BBC presenter asking Jamie to play a prank on unsuspecting diners.
