With a growing number of smartphone users in India, this app aims to provide a user-friendly platform to ensure a secure telecom environment for citizens.What is Sanchar Saathi Mobile App?The Sanchar Saathi mobile app is a comprehensive platform that focuses on enhancing telecom security for users across India. Launched in response to the rising concerns around telecom fraud, the app offers simple yet effective solutions to tackle various threats within the telecom sector. Available on both Android and iOS platforms, this app ensures that users can access important safety features to protect themselves from fraud and unauthorized activities.Key Features of the Sanchar Saathi Mobile AppThe Sanchar Saathi mobile app comes with a range of features designed to offer users complete control over their telecom security.Report Fraudulent Calls and SMS: The app allows users to report suspicious calls and SMS directly from their mobile logs. This helps in swiftly identifying and stopping fraudulent activities targeting citizens.Manage Mobile Connections: One of the app’s key functions is enabling users to check and manage all mobile connections issued in their name. This ensures that unauthorized connections can be identified and disconnected.Block Lost or Stolen Devices: In case of theft or loss, the app offers the ability to block, trace, and recover the stolen mobile device, ensuring users don’t fall victim to identity theft or data breaches.Verify Mobile Handsets: The app also helps users verify the authenticity of their mobile handsets, making sure they are purchasing genuine devices from reliable sources.Other Initiatives Launched by Jyotiraditya ScindiaAlong with the Sanchar Saathi mobile app, Jyotiraditya Scindia also introduced several other initiatives aimed at enhancing digital connectivity and security in India.National Broadband Mission (NBM) 2.0: The Union Minister launched NBM 2.0 to connect 1.7 lakh villages across the country, enhancing digital infrastructure and boosting connectivity. The mission also aims to provide broadband access to 60% of rural households and increase the fixed broadband download speed to 100 Mbps.Intra Circle Roaming at 4G Mobile Sites: Scindia inaugurated the Intra Circle Roaming facility at DBN-funded 4G mobile sites. This will allow telecom service providers to share towers, ensuring a seamless service experience for subscribers across India.Through these initiatives, Jyotiraditya Scindia emphasised the government’s commitment to improving digital infrastructure and ensuring the security and safety of Indian citizens in the telecom and digital space.
