A madrasa is being built in Uttarakhand in which all the children will now be educated. In this madrasa, children will be able to choose all subjects including Sanskrit. According to the information, this madrasa is almost ready. Meanwhile, the Chairman of Uttarakhand Waqf Board said that the Madrasa has been built at a cost of about Rs 50 lakh in the Muslim Colony near Dehradun Railway Station.
He told that this madrasa has been named Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Modern Madrasa. Admissions will start from the upcoming academic session and educational activities will be started for the children. However, some people of the Muslim community are opposing this initiative of the Waqf Board.
Waqf Board Chairman Shadab Shams said that studies will start from the coming academic session i.e. March. Good furniture, classes, smart boards as well as environment will be provided for the children in the madrasa. He said that computer rooms have been created to provide technical education to children. All subjects will be taught in Madrasa. Children will be able to choose subjects as per their interest.
According to the information, all subjects will be taught in this madrasa like normal schools. Whereas students can choose Sanskrit as alternative language instead of Arabic. Sanskrit will also be taught to the students. All students will have free education in these madrassas. Free arrangements for school dress and robes will be made by the Waqf Board.
In this madrasa, retired army soldiers will give training to children about sports. Along with this, for the first time, ex-servicemen will be recruited to provide training to the children. Apart from keeping the students physically fit, these teachers will also help in developing the spirit of patriotism.
Uttarakhand Waqf Board Chairman Shadab Shams said that the board plans to construct 8 to 10 such madrassas in the state by the end of the year.
