Out There has finally been released on ITVX, with its first episode airing on ITV1 on Sunday (January 19).

Viewers will have seen Johnny kill drug dealer Kenny (Jose Altin) at the Raglan Castle Hotel and Nathan and Caleb helping to cover up his murder by dumping the body at an old mine and burning Kenny's BMW.

Kenny's superiors note his disappearance, and the intimidating drugs boss Turuk (Silas Carson) quickly tracks down Nathan and his family over the murder.

The series goes a bit Breaking Bad as Nathan comes to an uneasy alliance with Turuk who helps purchase Gwen's farm and egg business. But PC Crowther (Eiry Thomas) knows Nathan is involved with burning Kenny's car and the farmer discovers that Corwther has a mapped out investigation in her garage.

With high stakes going into the final episode of this County Lines drama, this is what happens in the finale of Out There.

What happened at the end of Out There?

Nathan (Martin Clunes) goes to meet Caleb’s witness, Mason (Gavin Spokes) with Caleb (Mark Lewis Jones) making up a story about why they were at the quarry on the night of Kenny's death.

PC Crowther (Eiry Thomas) confronts Nathan at Owen’s funeral – she knows he's spoken to her witness. She informs him that police will search the mine on Monday and will easily catch Nathan or Johnny's DNA on Kenny.

Nathan tells his brother about Turuk's drug operation and how Gwen’s farm is being used for their new drug warehouse under the guise of egg distribution.

Caleb and Eva (Natalia Kostrzewa) and Caleb work together over how they will impede PC Crowther’s investigation and get rid of Kenny’s body. Their planning is interrupted when the vet, who was returning to do the second set of TB tests, comes to visit and almost rumbles the whole drugs operation.

Turuk is unhappy with Nathan being investigated by the police, but Nathan, inspired by words by the vet, suggests propping up the garden centre warehouse as a drugs distribution site to help throw the police off their operations.

Nathan tells PC Crowther about the garden centre and the raid is successful. Nathan is sent with Eva to collect the consignment of drugs inside farm equipment while Caleb helps collect Kenny’s body from the mine.

Despite the ever-persistent Scott Foley (Michael Obiora) chasing them down, Nathan and Eva successfully collect the consignment while Caleb sorts out the body.

Alice Williams, Nathan's daughter, surprises the family by arriving at the family farm. Nathan and Johnny work together at the farm and they talk about the "brave choice" he made over Kenny's death.

Johnny asks how they will get rid of the drug dealers and Nathan replies: "We do what my da would have done. What all farmers do. We settle in, bide our time and wait.

"Stand in the in Ridgefield mid winter everything's dead, knackered and silent. Thought of spring and summer seems impossible, but eventually it rolls around.

"That's what's gonna happen with this. Sooner or later they are going to blink or make a mistake, and when they do, we make our move."

Bunny (Joshua McCord) is spoken to by PC Crowther who warns him about the drugs in the area but he refuses to listen. In the show's final shot, Bunny's body later is found dumped in the countryside.

What happened with Rhys and Sadie?

Rhys (Gerran Howell) is lying low given Sadie has decided to stay at the farm – he is skint and has no more drugs to sell. He bumps into Bunny who’s heard his line’s dead, and offers him a running job.

They agree to meet at The Raglan, but when Rhys goes to meet Bunny, he’s pounced on and brutally assaulted.

Rhys goes to see Sadie (Carly Sophia Davies) who is in school. Horrified at the state her brother is in, Sadie knows he needs her and disappears from the school.

Johnny visits Rhys and Sadie and it is revealed it was Sadie's idea to lure Johnny into the drugs operation. Hurt, Johnny leaves their home.

Is there going to be a series 2 of Out There?

At the moment, has not confirmed if there will be a second series of Out There. The series ends on a bleak note, with Nathan overseeing the drug operation but observing that he will fish out the drug gang when the time is right.

There's plenty of plot lines to follow up in a potential second series, including the drugs operation, Bunny's death, what happens to Nathan's farm and the ongoing police investigations into County Lines and Kenny's disappearance.
