Kerala Tourism has developed a tourism campaign aimed at increasing domestic travel in the approaching summer by introducing new items that target vacationing families in areas like Wayanad, Kozhikode, and Bekal.
The Hyderabad meeting was a part of Kerala Tourism’s countrywide campaign, according to Sajeev KR, tourist information officer for Kerala Tourism. Similar gatherings will be held in January through March in Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Delhi, Jaipur, Chennai, and Kolkata to present the industry’s transformational projects and well-liked locations to influential players in the travel and hospitality sector. “We will be introducing new products to domestic visitors by focusing on schoolchildren and family audiences as the summer vacation season draws near,” said Sajeev KR. According to him, this time around, the campaign would pay special attention to North Kerala, notably Bekal, Wayand, and Kozhikode, in addition to lesser-known locations with far better infrastructure.
According to Sajeev, heli-tourism and the seaplane program are two new goods that will draw visitors since they will make the state’s locations readily accessible and intimately linked. In addition to the new developments, the state’s main attractions—beaches, hill stations, houseboats, and the backwater segment—will enhance the overall experience of tourists.
Kerala, which is well-known for its unspoiled natural beauty, lively culture, and rich legacy, will also provide its tourists with a taste of its literary events and cultural frenzy. According to Sikha Surendran, Director, Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala, the capital city will host the Nishagandhi Dance Festival at the Kanakakunnu Palace from February 15 to 21. During this event, famous dancers from across India will showcase traditional dance styles such as Kathak, Kuchipudi, Bharatanatyam, Manipuri, and Mohiniyattam. Additionally, Kozhikode Beach will host the Kerala Literature Festival (KLF), a noteworthy yearly literary festival, from January 23 to 26.
