Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The cold days have taken a backseat in Madhya Pradesh as a shift in wind patterns has brought warmer daytime temperatures across most regions. Daytime temperatures in many cities have crossed 25 degrees Celsius, accompanied by bright sunshine. However, the cold continues to persist at night, with several cities like Bhopal, Mandla, Pachmarhi, Rajgarh, Umaria, and Nowgong recording minimum temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius.

The Meteorological Department predicts another wave of cold weather beginning January 24, with northern winds likely to bring a drop in nighttime temperatures by 2-3 degrees Celsius. Senior meteorologist stated that light rain may occur in the Gwalior-Chambal region on January 22, followed by clearer weather from January 23.

The last four days have seen significant changes in the state's weather. Cities that were previously experiencing cold waves and daytime temperatures below 20 degrees Celsius are now witnessing warmer days with reduced cold impact. Night temperatures have also risen in several places.
