Hyderabad, January 24 On Friday, the Income Tax Department conducted a fourth day of searches at the home of renowned producer Dil Raju.
The producer’s home, Ujas Villas in Jubilee Hills, was the site of ongoing searches by a group of IT officers under the direction of a female officer.
The head of the Telangana Film Federation Development Corporation (TGFDC) is Dil Raju, whose true name is V. Venkata Ramana Reddy.
The searches at the home of Dil Raju’s brother, a producer, have been finished by the IT department.
The development of the movies “Game Changer” and “Sankranthiki Vasthunam” is connected to the searches conducted at Dil Raju’s and his family’s residence.
Dil Raju’s two films, which were produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations, were just released.
On January 10, 2025, “Gama Changer,” starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani, was released.
Last week on Sankranti, “Sankranthiki Vasthunam” was launched. Starring Venkatesh, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Meenakshi Chaudhary, the movie has become one of the renowned producer’s highest-grossing productions.
The IT detectives are investigating financial activities related to film production. Balance statements and IT returns are among the important papers they are examining.
As part of the inquiry, they looked into the bank lockers. Tejaswini, the wife of Dil Raju, was brought to a bank on Tuesday, where lockers were unlocked in her presence.
The IT officers have also been searching the offices of Mythri Movie Makers and Mango Media, two of the top production companies, for the last three days.
Although the agency has not yet released a statement on the searches, it is thought that it discovered a discrepancy between the income tax paid and the profits made by a few recent films.
The popular movie “Pushpa 2: The Rule,” which starred Allu Arjun and is said to have made Rs 1,500 crore, is the subject of the searches at Mythri Movie Makers.
The whereabouts of Myrthi’s founders, Naveen Yemeni and Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar, CEO Cherry, and other important figures connected to the top production company were also searched. ‘Pushpa 2’ director Sukumar’s office and other locations were raided by IT authorities on Wednesday.
