February 1, Mumbai Filmmaker-actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, who is praised for his powerful acting abilities and commanding on-screen persona, said he never considered himself to be very attractive and that he found his Hindi debut film Aiyya refreshing since it put a lot of emphasis on his appearance.
“I’ve never considered myself to be a very attractive man. Additionally, I don’t end up doing many movies that focus just on my appearance, which is something I found refreshing about my debut movie, Prithviraj told IANS.
“I worked on a movie called ‘Aiyya,’ and the entire thing was about me from the neck down. It was really refreshing for me because I didn’t think I could be shot that way objectively,” he said.
The actor acknowledges that his appearance was the main focus of “Aiyya,” a 2012 film that also starred Rani Mukerji.
Perhaps it was the only movie where the main focus was on my appearance and everything. Apart from that, even the films I make aren’t about how I appear.
“So, I’ve not been continuously fed the idea that I’m this really good looking man and all that,” he said. I’m flattered if ladies do think I’m beautiful. However, I would much prefer them find my work appealing.
In the 2012 film “Aiyya,” Meenakshi, a quirky lady, meets Surya, a Tamil artist, and falls in love with him right away.
Prithviraj is now preparing for the premiere of “L2: Empuraan,” his action thriller. It is the sequel to the 2019 movie Lucifer and the second part of a planned trilogy. Aashirvad Cinemas and Lyca Productions worked together to make the movie.
Alongside Mohanlal, the original cast members play Prithviraj, Indrajith Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Saniya Iyappan, Saikumar, Baiju Santhosh, Fazil, and Sachin Khedekar.
The release date of “L2: Empuraan” is March 27.
