Actress Sai Tamhankar is largely known for her work in Marathi cinema and a lot of web-shows lately. The actress who was last seen in Manvat Murders on OTT has spoken about her divorce from husband Amey Gosavi . They got married in 2013 and parted ways within two years. They have been in touch since then and continued to remain friends.
In a recent interview, Sai spoke about how they got divorced and later also went out to chill and have a few drinks together. She said during a chat with 'The Male Feminist', " Maine apna naam change nai kara tha lekin waha pe Sai Tamhankar Gosavi aise karke address karte hai. Agar aap divorce file karne jare hoh toh aapka shadi wala naam hi lete hai woh log. (I had not changed my name so, even after the divorce, they addressed me as Sai Tamhankar Gosavi. Even when you file a divorce, they will take say your married name only."
She further added, "Uske baad we wanted to chill out so went for a couple of drinks. Waha pe sab rona dhona, pyaar bhari baatein, life advices share ki gayi aur uske baad few close friends wanted to check on us both (We went out for a couple of drinks where we cried, shared lovely talks, life advices). When our friends called one by one, we told them that we were here so suddenly there were 9-10 people around us and we drank and had a great time."
Apparently, Sai also has tattoos of their wedding date and the date when her husband proposed to her which she has still kept and isn't ashamed of it. Revealing the reason for their divorce, Sai had once said during a chat with News18, "He is a very good boy. I mean, his mind is the most beautiful mind of any person I have ever experienced. I will always have a special place for him. But I think, I believe that if something does not work out for us, there is no point in living by blaming each other. It is of no use. Every person has the right to be happy in his life."
