may be the future Queen of the UK and Commonwealth, however behind-closed-doors her number one job is being a mum to Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Although Kate, 43, has been a full-time working royal since her 2011 wedding to Prince William, 42, she has shown that her three children are her key priority.

While she continues to carry out royal duties, the princess works hard to spend as much time with George, 11, Charlotte, nine, and Louis, six, as possible, and as normal as possible.

This was helped by the family's move to Adelaide Cottage on the Windsor estate, which has no live-in staff and enough room for

And despite her senior position in the Royal Family, Kate acts just the same as other mums when it comes to her children's school life, with the three siblings all attending Lambrook School near Ascot, Berkshire.

As well as doing the school runs as often as possible with Prince William, Kate also aims to be present at all school events, a fact shared by fellow parents at Lambrook.

This includes the princess going to sports days and events to support her children as often as she can.

, royal expert Ingrid Seward said: "According to the other mums at Lambrook she turns up for sports days, she turns up for special matches, and she's a very hands-on mum.

"Sometimes she goes with her mother Carole. And obviously William goes when he can. They often go altogether. Obviously the other mums are all googley-eyed to see [her]."

At home, Princess Kate is also known for being a doting mum and often cooks and plays with her children.

It has also been reported that each of the children in a bid to ensure they have as ordinary an upbringing as possible.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl once said: "They absolutely do menial tasks. They are far more ordinary than many might imagine - the kids even have to do chores in return for their pocket money.

"It's about them wanting to have a normal, happy, ordinary family home and lifestyle which, at Adelaide Cottage, they are really achieving."
