Most people think that Golmaal 5 will be Rohit Shetty’s next film. However, don’t be shocked if the filmmaker first directs an action film before delving into the world of the comedic genre. According to rumors, Shetty and John Abraham have been discussing an action thriller for the last month. This raises the obvious question: Will Abraham be a part of the well-known police world created by the film? No, is the response.
According to our sources, Shetty is now working on the screenplay for a stand-alone movie. According to a source, Rohit has had the concept for this movie for a while. He started working on this project when the Golmaal 5 script was stuck after Singham Again [2024] was published. He wants to go beyond the comedy franchise and police dramas. There have been some first encounters with John. The sleek actioner might start rolling as early as April if the dates work out and the draft is ready. By March, a final decision will be made.
If everything goes well, this will be Shetty and Abraham’s first joint venture. It will be filmed in Mumbai over 45 days on a strict timetable. The filmmaker and actor have spoken about potential dates. According to the source, Rohit will go on to the Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 filming after they both want to shoot it throughout the summer. Abraham plans to release his film on motorcycle racing in the Isle of Man in August, so it works out well for him (‘My motorcycle racing is commencing in August,’ Dec 13). Abraham’s and Shetty’s teams were contacted by midday. Neither could be reached for comment.
