reportedly believes Sir Jim Ratcliffe is behind the plot to force him out of Manchester United. The forward is widely expected to leave Old Trafford but has only three days to complete a move in the January transfer window.

Time is ticking for Rashford to complete an exit and not risk sitting in the stands for the remainder of the season. Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, Monaco and Aston Villa have all been linked with a deal for the 27-year-old.

Holding up any switch is Rashford's reported £325,000-per-week salary which may in part need to be covered by United. The England international appears to have no future under Ruben Amorim, having been left out of the matchday squad in all but one of their last 12 matches.

But Rashford reportedly believes it is Ratcliffe who wants him gone from Old Trafford. According to , he thinks the INEOS chief is keen to get his salary off the wage bill as part of the brutal cost-cutting measures taking place under the new regime.

Ratcliffe has prompted controversy with several decisions, including approving 250 staff redundancies, curbing funding to the MU Foundation, and raising member ticket prices to £66.

Rashford reportedly believes that he is also being targeted as part of the plan to slash United's expenses. Only midfielder Casemiro is believed to earn more at the club, having penned a £350,000-per-week deal when he joined from Real Madrid in 2022.

Last week, Amorim accused Rashford of not working hard enough during training. The United boss, who is nearly four months into the job, even ahead of the struggling striker.

Rashford's camp have reportedly insisted that he is working hard. There have even been suggestions that he would be willing to play for the Red Devils before completing an exit.

"Imagine a talent like Rashford, our team should be so much better with him - but he has to change," Amorim said on Wednesday.

"If he changes, we are more than welcome [to include him] - and we need it. But in this moment we have to set some standards. We are waiting for Rashford, if he wants it really bad.

"You want to make it personal, I have nothing against Marcus, but I have to make the same rules for everybody. We need goals, we need [players who can go] one against one, we need threat in the final third."
