As reported by Grazia magazine, the reunion took place during Crown Prince Hussein’s private diplomatic trip to the U.K., where he also met with Prince William at Windsor Palace. The encounter was highlighted on social media, as both Crown Prince Hussein and Prince Mateen shared images on Instagram from the event, showcasing the couples in their royal attire.

“With our dear friends Prince Abdul Mateen and Princess Anisha Roshnah of Brunei,” Crown Prince Hussein captioned his post.

Similarly, Prince Mateen wrote on his account: “Wonderful seeing our dear friends, Crown Prince Al Hussein and Princess Rajwa.”

The royal couples have shared a longstanding friendship, supporting each other through royal duties and significant personal milestones. Notably, Prince Mateen and his father, Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei, were guests at Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa’s wedding ceremony on June 1, 2023.

At 34, Prince Mateen is known for his passion for polo and represented Brunei in the SEA Games in 2017 and 2019. He was listed as one of Asia’s most eligible bachelors by Flavors magazine in 2016.

Yang Mulia Anisha Rosnah, 31, is an entrepreneur in the cultural tourism sector. She attended the University of Bath in the U.K. and is well-connected within Brunei’s royal circles. Her grandfather Pehin Dato Isa was an influential government advisor in the 1960s and 1970s, and her brother Danial Deen Isa-Kalebic is a close friend of Prince Mateen.

Her sister-in-law Janetira Attaskulchai Deen is associated with Thailand’s Attaskulchai family, owners of the Betagen yogurt brand.

The couple’s wedding was a grand affair with about 5,000 guests, including many international dignitaries, celebrated from January 7-16 in Bandar Seri Begawan.

Crown Prince Hussein, 31, is the eldest son of Jordan’s King Abdullah II and Queen Rania. He holds a degree in International History from Georgetown University and has been active in his royal duties since 2012, including serving as regent and representing Jordan alongside his father on numerous visits abroad.

In 2015, he became the youngest person ever to chair a UN Security Council session.

Princess Rajwa, also 31, was born in Saudi Arabia and trained as an architect before her marriage, after which she began accompanying her husband in his official duties both in Jordan and internationally.
