BCCI Naman Award:Many stars of the world of cricket were honored at the BCCI's 'Naman Awards' ceremony held in Mumbai. On this occasion, Jaspreet Bumrah and Smriti Mandhana were awarded the Best Cricketer of the Year Award. At the same time, Sarfaraz Khan received the Best Mains Debut and Asha Shobhana received the Best Women's Debut Award. In women's cricket, Smriti Mandhana was awarded the best batter and Deepti Sharma was awarded the title of Best Bowler. Shashank Singh was honored as the best white ball all -rounder and Tanush Kotian as the Best Red Ball all -rounder.

In this ceremony, legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar was awarded Colonel CK Naidu Lifetime Achievement Award. Apart from this, Ravichandran Ashwin was also awarded the Special Award. After receiving the award, Sachin Tendulkar said that he expresses his heartfelt gratitude to the BCCI, who always supported him. On this occasion, he said in laughter and happiness that Ashwin addresses him as 'Mr. Tendulkar', which makes him realize his age.

Sachin joined in 1989

Recalling his early days, Sachin said that when he joined the Indian team in 1989, he would often delay in catching the team bus. During that time Kapil Dev asked him whether this is the right time or he has been late. Sachin said that since then he started keeping his watch 7-8 minutes ahead. He also remembered the 1998 tour of Australia, when the media called it 'Tendulkar vs Warne', but Sachin said that it was 'India vs Australia', and such rivalry made the game better.

Sachin remembers the 1999 incident

Recalling the incident of father's death during the 1999 World Cup, Sachin said that after the death of his father, he started bat celebrations, so that his father's contribution would be felt in every good moment. In addition, he reported that he refused to promote alcohol and tobacco brands in the 90s as his family had decided not to compromise his values.

Current Indian Player

Sachin also remembered his retirement and said that on the last day when he bid farewell to the team, he realized that he will never be a 'current Indian player'. He said that he considers himself very lucky that he got a chance to represent his country.
