Bank locker facilities are provided to personal customers, partnership firms, limited companies, clubs, etc. in the government and private banks of the country (Government bank Locker rule). Banks act as a kind of lessor for their customers, in which locker service is provided based on annual rent.
Banks give a guarantee of security.
Banks give full guarantee of the safety of their belongings through lockers to their customers. Banks provide full security of their property to their customers. Please note that if you keep cash in the bank, they are not responsible for its security (bank locker security). So keep this in mind while keeping the goods.
The locker price is decided according to the location.
In India, the price of bank locker rent is decided based on the location of the bank. According to a report, there may be differences in the locker rent of SBI, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, and PNB according to the branch of the bank, location, and size of the locker. Recently all the banks have released new locker rates.

Small locker: Rs 2,000 (Metro/Urban) and Rs 1,500 (Semi-Urban/Rural)
Medium locker: Rs 4,000 (Metro/Urban) and Rs 3,000 (Semi-Urban/Rural)
Big locker: Rs 8,000 (Metro/Urban) and Rs 6,000 (Semi-Urban/Rural)
Extra big locker: Rs 12,000 (Metro/Urban) and Rs 9,000 (Semi-Urban/Rural)
ICICI Bank locker rent
Rural areas: Rs 1,200 to Rs 10,000
Semi-Urban areas: Rs 2,000 to Rs 15,000
Urban areas: Rs 3,000 to Rs 16,000
Metro: Rs 3,500 to Rs 20,000
Metro+ locations: Rs 4,000 to Rs 22,000
HDFC Bank locker charges
Metro branches: Rs 1,350 to Rs 20,000
Urban areas: Rs 1,100 to Rs 15,000
Semi-urban areas: Rs 1,100 to Rs 11,000
Rural areas: Rs 550 to Rs 9,000
PNB locker charges
Rural areas: Rs 1,250 to Rs 10,000
Urban areas: Rs 2,000 to Rs 10,000

 

Note that the bank Customers are provided with 12 free visits, after which a fee of Rs 100 is charged for each additional visit.
