What is APAAR ID Card: The Government of India and the Ministry of Education have launched the APAAR ID card under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. It has been prepared on the lines of "One Nation, One Student ID", which will give students a unique identification number. Their educational records, certificates, achievements and degrees will be stored in this digital ID, which will make the educational journey of the students easy and well organized.


What is APAAR ID Card?


The full name of APAAR ID is Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry. It has been launched by the government with the aim of strengthening the digital education system for students.



  • This will be available to all students studying in schools, colleges and universities.

  • Through this card, educational records will be stored digitally.

  • Students will be able to easily access their degrees, mark sheets, scholarships, awards and other certificates.

  • This will eliminate the hassle of changing institutes, admission process and certificate verification.

How to register for APAAR ID card?


Students have to complete a simple online process to get this ID-



  • Visit the official website of Academic Bank of Credit (ABC).

  • Go to 'My Account' section and select 'Student' option.

  • Register on DigiLocker and fill in Aadhaar number and other required information.

  • Login to DigiLocker and agree for Aadhaar verification.

  • Fill in the school/college name, class and course details.

  • After submitting all the information your APAAR ID card will be ready.


How to download APAAR ID card?



  • Login to ABC (Academic Bank of Credit) bank website.

  • Find the option ‘APAAR Card Download’ in the dashboard.

  • Choose download or print option and save your card.


 


Process to fill APAAR ID Form (Parental Consent)


Because this card will contain personal information of the students (such as name, Aadhaar, health information, etc.), parental consent is required before making it. Know what to do to fill the form.



  • Visit the official website of APAAR.

  • Download the 'Parental Consent Form' from the 'Resources' section.

  • Fill all the required information in the form.

  • Submit it to the concerned school or college.

  • If any parent feels that they no longer want to use this ID, they can withdraw their consent.


APAAR ID card is a big step towards making education digital and well-organized in India.
