Sir has become a grandfather for the fourth time after his ice hockey star son Liam has welcomed a daughter wth his wife Nicole.
Liam and Nicole, both 30, are already parents to a son Louie, 21 months. The proud parents took to on Monday to introduce their new arrival.
They posed for a series of adorable photographs with Louie and their newborn daughter in hospital and revealed the meaning behind their new addition's sweet name.
Nicole wrote: "Elsie Skylar Stewart. Our sweet little pea born 03/02/25." She is named after Rod's mother Elsie Gilbart, who died in 1996 at the age of 91. Her middle name Skylar is a tribute to Nicole's niece who died in June 2024.
Liam's mother, model Rachel Hunter, 55, who was married to Rod from 1990 until 1999, gushed over her new grandchild commenting: "I can't wait to meet you. Bursting with love."
Other family members were also quick to congratulate the growing family. Rod's current wife , 53, commented: "So adorable, can't wait to meet Louie's little sister Elsie."
Rod's first wife Alana Hamilton Stewart, 79, who is the mother of his children Kimberly, Ashley and Sean, chimed in: "Congratulations!! She's beautiful!"
Liam's half sister model and singer Ruby, 35, who he shares with ex-Kelly Emberg, 65, also welcomed the baby writing: "Welcome to the Stewart family Little Elsie!"
Meanwhile Rod has yet to publicly comment on the new arrival to the clan.
The celebratory announcement will be welcomed news for the family coming after it was reproted Rod's eldest son Sean, 44, had entered rehab.

In an emotional revelation to MailOnline, Sean spoke candidly about his battles with ADHD and dyslexia from a young age, which led to hurtful nicknames like "Stupid Stewart".
"I am here to deal with the pain that I had in my childhood that stemmed from suffering from ADHD and an overall feeling that I can't succeed in life. I am in therapy now, I am focusing on working through the problems," he disclosed.
