Free bedroll service

Indian Railways provides free bedroll to passengers traveling in AC coaches. AC first class (AC1), AC Second Class (AC2), and AC third class (AC3) give passengers a blanket, a pillow, two bedsheets and a hand towel. However, this facility is available at a minor fee of Rs 25 in Garib Rath Express. In some trains, bedroll is also given to the passengers of sleeper class. If a passenger does not get this facility, he can complain about it and claim refund.

Free medical aid

If a passenger feels ill during the train journey, the railway provides free first aid to him. In critical condition, the railway also arranges proper medical assistance at the next station. For this, passengers can contact the train superintendent, ticket collector or any other railway employee.

Free food facility

If you are traveling in premium trains like Rajdhani, Shatabdi or Duronto and your train is late for more than two hours, then the railway provides free food to the passengers. Also, if you want to get food of your choice, you can use the e-catering service of the railway.

Facility to keep goods at station

Indian Railways provides clocker and locker room facility at major stations, where passengers can keep their goods safe for a maximum of one month. A minor fee has to be paid to avail this service.

Free waiting hall

If a passenger wants to change the train or wait at the station for some time, then he can use the AC or non-AC waiting hall available at the railway station. For this, passengers only have to show their valid train tickets.

These facilities of Indian Railways make the journey of passengers comfortable and comfortable. If a passenger does not get any of these services, then he can complain on the railway helpline and get necessary help.
