Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has opened a front against Love Jihad. He said that our government will not tolerate forcibly conversion, misconduct. Such rapes will not be spared. Those who have forcibly converted in the state will be sentenced to death. On the occasion of Women's Day, CM Yadav said these things in an event organized at Kushabhau Thackeray Convention Center in Bhopal.
CM Mohan Yadav said that our government will make a provision of death sentence for those who convert girls, like the punishment of rape of minors. He said that the government is very strict against those who raped innocent daughters. We will not spare those who convert illegal religion. A provision of death penalty has been made in this regard.
Apart from this, a provision of death sentence will also be made for conversion in Madhya Pradesh Religious Freedom Act. Our government is dedicated to the safety and self -esteem of daughters. We will deal strictly with such evil practices. He said that the provision of death penalty to those who misbehave with daughters is already applicable.
CM Yadav said that the Religious Freedom Act is implemented for strict action against those who have been forced or seduced by luring them. Our government will not tolerate any incident like conversion, misconduct. If this happens, Madhya Pradesh will be the first state to provide punishment in the case of forced conversion.

The Madhya Pradesh government passed the Religion Freedom Act on 8 March 2021. In this, the BJP had tightened its stand against forced conversion. The new law provides for punishment of up to 10 years and heavy fine to the culprits of illegal conversion. There is a sentence of one to five years and a fine of 25 thousand rupees on forcible conversion. At the same time, cases of minor, woman or SC/ST can be sentenced to two to 10 years and a fine of up to 50 thousand rupees.

If any person wants to convert to religion that he has to submit a manifesto to the District District that he wants to convert to his will and does not include any illegal method of any kind. He has to give the manifesto in front of DM 60 days before conversion.
