During an interview, Aamir revealed how to turn his life after Divorce from Reena, Aamir said, “When Reena and my breakup took place, I was in mourning for about 2-3 years, I was not working nor listening to the script, I was alone at home and I drank a lot of alcohol for about 1.5 years.”

Talking further, Aamir said, 'You will be surprised to know that I did not drink alcohol, but after separation, I did not know what to do, I could not sleep at night and I started drinking alcohol, I had become a person who did not drink alcohol at all, I became a person who was drinking the whole bottle in a day, I was like Devdas, I am trying to destroy myself, Doed for years because I was in deep depression.

Aamir and Reena Dutta married in 1986, they have two children, Junaid Khan and Ira Khan. After being together for many years, Aamir and Reena got divorced in 2002 with mutual consent, after which they married Kiran Rao in 2005, but separated in 2021 after 15 years of marriage, they have a son Azad through surrogacy.
