Mumbai: The University of Mumbai has released a public notice to students following a fake examination schedule for the Summer 2025 exam that began being circulated on social media. The university has announced that the circulated schedule — under program code 3L00210 for BLS/LL.B (Five-Year Course), Semester X — is not authentic and should be ignored.

The Mumbai University posted a warning message saying, "Beware of misinformation! A fake exam timetable is circulating. Ignore it! Always look at mu.ac.in for official updates." The alert was posted along with the hashtags #FakeTimetable #StayInformed #OfficialUpdatesOnly to inform students.

The fake timetable includes details of eight papers scheduled from April 28 to May 30, 2025, including subjects like Alternate Dispute Resolution System, Law of Evidence, Conflict of Laws, Law of Medicine, Law of Insurance, Intellectual Property Law, Banking Law, and Law Relating to Women & Children.

The fraudulent schedule falsely claims to be authorised by Dr. Pooka Raundale, Director of the Board of Examinations & Evaluation.

List of dates and subjects from the fake timetable being circulated:

• April 28: Alternate Dispute Resolution System (35803)

• May 2: Law of Evidence (35804)

• May 8: Conflict of Laws (35801)

• May 12: Law of Medicine (35802)

• May 17: Law of Insurance (35805)

• May 19: Intellectual Property Law (35806)

• May 21: Banking Law & Negotiable Instruments Act (35807)

• May 30: Law Relating to Women & Children (35808)

University officials have emphasised that any timetable not hosted on the official MU website is not valid, and students must cross-verify all academic schedules through www.mu.ac.in only.
