Although Villa ended up losing 3-1, their goal to go 1-0 up in the first half was met with a joy by Prince William, who quickly gave his son, 11, a massive hug and a kiss on the head. George, who was seen with his Aston Villa scarf cheering, seemed equally delighted with the goal as his dad embraced him.


After a video of the moment was shared on X, fans were quick to talk about the sweet moment.


One fan wrote on X: "Look at how Prince George is reacting to this embrace... some kids would be mortified and wiggle away, but he is relishing his Dad's excitement & hug."

Prince William did not take Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, to the match, but said in an interview that his youngest children would be watching from home.


The prince has also been open on how he is not pressuring his children to support Aston Villa as he wants them to choose their own teams.
